Taste the Difference

Fresh produce tastes better! We know this because we eat our own microgreens, lettuce, herbs, and other vegetables every day. We want our customers to enjoy the benefits of having fresh produce available every week, all year long.

Lettuce

Our lettuces “taste amazing!” This is the comment we hear over and over again from our very satisfied customers. We grow our lettuces using a deep tank hydroponic system; the plants are literally floating in the water, with their roots immersed in a nutrient solution that provides exactly what they need to grow and thrive. Including bibb varieties, oakleaf, crisphead, Lollo Rossa and romaine, our varieties change somewhat with the seasons, as certain kinds are more successful in cooler or warmer weather.

Microgreens

Microgreens are edible greens and herbs, harvested at the beginning of the first true leaf stage. Packed with flavor and nutrition, they vary in size from approximately 1 to 3 inches in length. They add a pop of excitement and nourishment to any dish - salads, soups, pizzas, sandwiches, entrees, smoothies -- you can eat microgreens with any food group! We grow all our microgreens in soil, which provides the best medium for flavorful, disease-free plants. We use a "bottom watering" method that helps ensure the healthiest, most nutritious microgreens possible.

Vegetables

Our other vegetables vary throughout the seasons of the year, but we always have something extra to offer our customers. Growing under cover in greenhouses means we can harvest ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and eggplant earlier in the Spring and have them later in the Fall. We also grow a wide variety of greens such as watercress, arugula, kale, fennel, and herbs. Lastly, we are experimenting with more and more root vegetables, including beets, carrots, onions, radishes and turnips. Check out our webstore or stop by the farmstand to see what is in season . . . in the greenhouse!

Honey

Our honey is provided in conjunction with J&J Family Farm, located in Clover, South Carolina. We have worked with this family farm to source the highest quality local honey possible for our customers. Their honey has a delicate, smooth flavor and is carefully curated to provide optimum taste based on what the bees are foraging throughout the year.

Edible Blooms

Edible flowers provide special additions to salads, soups, cupcakes, desserts and other dishes. Ranging from spicy nasturtiums to delicately flavored dianthus and violas to stuffable squash blossoms, these blooms create a visible feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
